Health and family welfare minister Chandrima Bhattacharya launched a one-stop medical facility portal at Bengal Club on Wednesday.

The portal, www.euor.in, will have a doctor on call 24X7 who would advice a patient on whether any specific medicine is required for an ailment. If the doctor thinks a check-up is necessary, the company will arrange for an appointment with a doctor at a location most convenient to the patient. In case of an emergency, the portal will also arrange ambulance to pick up the patient. "If a person falls sick late at night, it is not always possible to reach the family doctor. At Euor, the doctors will not put financial burden on a patient with unnecessary tests and consultations," said Sudipto Shome of Euor Group.

Vice-president of AMRI Hospitals Sombrata Roy, chief executive officer of the group of AMRI Hospitals Rupak Barua, General manager (finance) of Ruby General Hospital Arindam Samanta, Head of marketing unit of Calcutta Medical Research Institute Shyam Sunday Dey, and head of markeing unit of B M Birla Hospital Jawed Khan were present at the event.
